Our mission is to ensure that all students learn by creating a community that focuses on student learning, by working collaboratively and holding ourselves accountable for results.

School Profile:
Rice Elementary School is located in Santa Maria and serves students in grades  transitional kindergarten through six following a traditional calendar. At the beginning of the 2024-25 school year, 887 students were enrolled, including 12.7% in special education, 55.4% qualifying for English Language Learner support, 1.0% foster youth, 28.2%  homeless youth, 7.3% migrant education, and 95.5% socioeconomically disadvantaged.
